Ten Nashua Catholic parishes came together over the increasing requests for food and financial support. This resulted in a centralized agency supporting clients and their families on their journey to achieving self-sufficiency.

Corpus Christi Food Pantry opens in downtown Nashua near public transportation. It is formed as a non-profit 501 (C) 3 organization governed by a board of directors to provide support regardless of religion, race, country of origin or sex.

Food Pantry supported 1,330 families totaling 6,174 individuals (45% were children and 17% were seniors).

Corpus Christi Assistance opens in recognition of the complex issue of clients’ financial insecurity from the initial discussions in 1998.
Addition of 2nd paid employee.
Food Pantry provides 1,800 people/month with basic food needs.

Support grew to include other Nashua churches, individuals as well as community service organizations to be a truly non- denominational, community-wide effort.
Assistance Program includes a team of 4-5 volunteers.
Food Pantry supports 4,700 families totaling 16,512 individuals (38% are children and 14% are seniors).
Assistance supports 622 clients with 40% receiving financial help averaging $127/family.

Food Pantry and Assistance programs continue to see larger numbers of clients in need.
Food and supplies provided to 5,265 families totaling 17,310 individuals (37% were children and 13% were seniors).
Financial guidance provided to 891 with 30% receiving financial
help averaging $125/family.

Food Pantry volunteers Increased demand for services seen in order for people to meet day-to-day needs.
Food Pantry sees dramatic increase in numbers. Supports 6,473 families totaling 20,994 individuals (36% being children and 12% are seniors).
Assistance experienced major shift in higher financial assistance sought per client. 891 people were supported with financial guidance; 28% receiving assistance averaging $175/family (a 40% increase from just 2 years earlier).
